Privacy:  We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting it. The purpose of this Privacy Policy is to inform you what personally identifiable information we may collect and how it may be used.

Information You Submit Voluntarily:  When you follow us on social media, comment on articles posted on our website and social media platforms, subscribe to our email list, purchase our products or services, or otherwise engage with us or our content, we gather personal information. If you choose to do this, we will receive your name, email address and profile picture associated with those accounts. This may result in your profile picture appearing on your post.

Please include all email address(es) you wish to remove from our mailings and phone number(s) in the body of your email or letter, and put “Opt-out” in the subject line. It is important to note that this opt-out request does not prohibit us from sending you important administrative disclosures for non-marketing purposes. We will comply with your request(s) as soon as reasonably practicable.

Accessing, Changing or Updating Personal Information:  If you would like to review, correct, restrict or delete personal information that you have previously provided to us, please contact us by email. In your request, please state what personal information you would like to have changed, whether you would like to have your personal information suppressed from our database or otherwise let us know what limitations you would like to put on our use of your personal information. For your protection, we only implement requests with respect to the personal information associated with the particular email address that you use to send us your request, and we may need to verify your identity before implementing your request. We will respond to your request consistent with applicable law.

Please note that we may need to retain certain information for recordkeeping purposes and/or to complete any transactions that you began prior to requesting a change or deletion (e.g., when you make a purchase or enter a promotion, you may not be able to change or delete the Personal Information provided until after the completion of such purchase or promotion).

If you are a resident of California, under 18 and a member of our mailing list, you may ask us to remove content or information that you have posted to our website or affiliated social media account by emailing us. Please note that your request does not ensure complete or comprehensive removal of the content or information, as, for example, some of your content may have been reposted by another user.

Children’s Guidelines: We do not knowingly collect or store any personal information from children except as permitted by applicable law. If you are a resident of California, USA, under 18 years old and a registered user of our services, please see above “Accessing, Changing or Updating My Personal Information?”  If a parent or guardian believes that we have personal identifying information for your child under the age of 18 in our database, please contact us immediately and we will use our best efforts to remove such information promptly. We ask that you provide proof of the legal relationship and/or the age of the child.

International Transfers: We are headquartered in the United States. The information you provide to us or that we obtain as a result of your use of website or affiliated social media platforms is collected in your country and subsequently transferred to the United States. Affiliate Program Participation: The Website may engage in affiliate marketing, which is done by embedding tracking links into the Website. If you click on a link for an affiliate partnership, a cookie will be placed on your browser to track any sales for purposes of commissions. ExploreWithCarolyn.com is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and links to Amazon.com. As part of this Amazon Associates program, the Website will post customized links, provided by Amazon, to track the referrals to their website. This program utilizes cookies to track visits for the purposes of assigning a commission on these sales.

Newsletters: On the Website or other social media platforms, you may subscribe to our newsletter, which may be used for advertising purposes. All newsletters sent may contain tracking pixels. The pixel is embedded in emails and allows an analysis of the success of online marketing campaigns. Because of these tracking pixels, we may see if and when you open an email and which links within the email you click. Also, this allows us to adapt the content of future newsletters to the interests of the user. This behavior will not be passed on to third parties.

Opt-Out: You may opt-out of future email communications by following the unsubscribe links in our emails. You may also email us to be removed from our mailing list.

We are interested in articulate, well-informed remarks that are relevant to the article or post. We welcome your advice, your criticism, and your unique insights into the issues of the day. We also welcome strong opinions and criticism of our work, and do not hesitate to approve critical comments. However, personal attacks against our staff will not be permitted, and any criticism should relate to the article in question. Additionally, while we invite criticisms of our products and services, we limit these to verified purchasers only. 

Our site includes features that allow users to interact with each other through our Website articles and affiliate social media platforms. These features are intended to create a community where you can share your thoughts on what you have read. While we reserve the right to monitor user postings, it is up to our users to ensure that the discourse remains polite and informative. We moderate comments to encourage the free and open exchange or ideas in a climate of mutual respect. Disclosures: I am not a travel agent. If you use the services offered, you are responsible for booking your meal, lodging, transportation, and activities. All suggestions have been researched to meet your requirements and the information provided is accurate to the best of my knowledge. I am not responsible for activity hours of operation, costs, information, and/or requirements that change after you receive your package. While, I have done my best to match the information in your package based on your questionnaire answers and the information publicly available about a particular option, it is your responsibility to confirm that a specific suggestion will meet your capabilities and expectations.  

Refund Policy:  Refund requests will not be considered if submitted prior to the refund date noted in your package. Refunds will be granted for any reason if submitted within 30 days after the refund date noted in your package. Refund dates are clearly noted at the top of the package materials.
